Does anyone know any place in the Detroit Metro area that stocks AR parts and is open on the weekends? I need to find a barrel nut and a handguard cap to complete a rifle. I'm going out of town next week and was hoping to take the AR with me but I can't find anyone that has the parts on hand. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
I went there today after work and got other parts, but no one had barrel nuts or handguard caps. |
IMO, the Gibraltar show is the weakest in the universe for anything, especially AR stuff. What little you will find will be severly overpriced. Just IMO. The nearest place with all your AR needs at a reasonable price is probably ADCO in Sylvania, OH, just over the border. |

Double Action at 13 1/2 and Dequindre have more black rifles than I've seen at any other gun store, though I don't know about parts. Worth giving them a call. double action |
Buy from him if you want to get ripped off! That guy is full of Sh#t....I have heard of stories that he has told customers and let me tell you, he is one of the reasons that gunshow dealers get bad raps...I would try Firearm Exchange in Westland maybe they might have what your looking for. Ant |
The guys from Firearms Exchange were at the Mt Clemens show and said they didn't have the parts there or at the store but said they could order them. I haven't been in Northwest since they tried to charge me $13.00 for a box of wolf 9mm many years ago. I took Mongo's advice and hopped down to ADCO to get the parts so I am all set. Thanks everyone, for your help. |

Small suite in a little commercial building. Uppers were lining the wall to the right as you walk in. The place was packed with people, but I think they were all in there just to shoot the bull. One guy behind the counter ask what I needed and another went and grabbed it. I was in and out of there in under a minute, so I didn't really look around. That was kind of my plan, for my wallet's sake. ![]() I think the real magic happens in the shop. |

You didn't look very hard if you were at Gibralter Mt Clemens. Tonys Uppers was there with all of the parts he carries and, although I didn't look for them in his area, I had them in my showcase as well. There was one other dealer whose name I don't know, but I'm pretty sure he had them. |
If you had them, you weren't there Friday, or I missed them in my 15 trips to all the tables. Half of the dealers tables were empty. I asked any dealer that had any kind of parts, barrels, or uppers. The older guy in the corner had all kinds of parts. I got a detent spring, delta ring assembly and handguards from him but he didn't have the caps or barrel nuts. If you are a local dealer (even just at the shows) and carry parts, please let me have your contact info for future needs. |

Centennial Co. 105 Fairbanks #2 Marine City, MI 48039 1-810-765-6454 I would not have had the caps you needed, but I did have barrel nuts and was there at 12:00. Tony didn't show up until later in the afternoon and I think he would have had everything you needed. Some vendors don't show up until 4-5-6 o'clock due to travel or work. I don't stock evry part for AR, but I keep the usual replacement stuff around and stock Magpul, RRA and other assorted stuff. If I can help you let me know. |
