[ARCHIVED THREAD] - AR Barrel threading

I have a Bushmaster XM15 (16" barrel) that I bought before the AWB expired.

I has no muzzle break or anything and I was thinking of putting a flash hider on it.

Is there any problem law-wise to getting the barrel threaded for a flash hider? I don't want the ATF to think i'm going to put a silencer on it.

Should not be a problem so long as you keep it a legal length.

I'm looking for someone to remove the MB off of my 16" and have it threaded too.

If you guy's hear of someone, please let me know.

I know a local FFL who said he can get my barrel threaded.

I'm also thinking of sending it out to ADCO to get done, depending on how much the fees are.
