Funny thing is, you go to the NOAA Weather website, they'll tell you a hazardous winter weather advisory is being pushed out.
Then go to Weather Underground and you'll see that the biggest thing they have going on in our side of the state is cloudy skies. Meanwhile over at our local news station they say it's going to snow, but at different times than the NOAA site says. And people ask me why I keep my weather rock outside the house. |

Bring back Ice Storm of 94 or GTFO. ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm better prepared, now, than I was then, but I'd rather not have a repeat of that one. Went to Kroger, yesterday. Stopped at the gas station and filled up, this morning. New 50 pound bag of sand in the trunk (used up what sand I had, getting back up the driveway in the last snow). Propane company filled the tank, about a week ago (propane furnace and propane generator). |

Serious question Let's just say, that FedEx has a bit more money riding on what the weather is going to be, especially in the Memphis area. And since Dave Brown has retired, who ya gonna call? ![]() |

Walked the dog.
The stuff that fell and melted, yesterday, formed a thin coating of ice on my road, last night. Snow has been accumulating on top of that. Two inches on the hood of the car, and it's still coming down fairly hard. Main road doesn't have any accumulation on it, but what little traffic there is, seems to be taking it slow. Probably some slick spots. |

Knoxville has had a few flurries on and off all day, but otherwise it's just cloudy and cold. |

We have flurries coming down here in SC TN. Not to worry, several cases of beer and several gallons of Pee are in the beer frig and a cast iron bean pot full of deer chili is hot on the stove. We're ready for it! Tried to get from west Knox to Oak Ridge via Pellissippi, it was a parking lot. Yeah last time I saw the weather report, I was expecting a few clouds but not much else until Monday. Then I get a phone call at 6am telling me school's cancelled. I thought I was dreaming lol. |

Gorgeous. Thanks, I love living here! And it's been pissing rain all morning. The good news is that it's far too warm to turn into snow, ice or anything else. Doesn't really matter since the wood stove is full and putting off heat like a mofo, we have plenty of beer, pork chops and my wife's baking bread. Plus we're retired, so we have absolutely no where needed to go. Life is good! |
