ky guy heading to Nashville for a couple days for a convention. Any thing CC wise I should be aware of? Thanks. Note: unlike in KY, "no gun" signs carry the force of law. If you're wondering which areas are specifically "no carry" you may want to check out the "Posted!" smartphone app. Although if it's the convention I'm thinking of (at the gaylord) each section has its own rules. The mall hints, but doesn't specifically ban guns, the hotel doesn't ban (but individual sections may), but there's a section between the mall and the hotel that does ban. It's weird. |
Illegal in TN to carry & drink alcohol. Never heard of an area around the Opry Mills Mall that is posted & I live close by & used to work at the hotel.
City parks & bldgs are off limits, which means the convention center & arena are posted. Now, Nashville has now got two "convention" centers. The older one is between Broad & Commerce streets. We also have the "arena", which is where the Preds play & concerts are held. The new convention center is not yet been "posted", I've been told. This is the new, huge one south of Broadway, where the NRA convention will be held. There's a few restaurants where the owner's are assholes & have them posted as such. The TFA web site has a list of them, IIRC. |

(construction demotion IIRC) |

It's just the walkway area between the mall and the hotel, including an outdoor convention area. i called it "kid park" cos i think that may have been the same area they set up for the winter games stuff. *shrug* |
