Wifes niece is getting married in Chattanooga and thought a hostel for the extended family was a cool idea.
No. No its not. So we're taking the camper. Please to suggest reasonably priced, reasonably quiet, reasonably close camping area. I'm not fond of RV parks, but state park (or comparable) with water / electric would be fine. |

I know nothing about camping in the area, but this alone made this post worth it! I was told there was a single bathroom "at the end of the hall." Not counting the relatives in Chattanooga, this means 4-6 families, upwards of 30-35 people, in bunk beds sharing a bathroom. No. Lets make that 33 people sharing a bathroom, me and mine will share the one in the camper. |

My favorite camping in the Chattanooga area is at Cloudland Canyon State park in Trenton, GA. It's about 11 miles south on I59.
Have been there multiple times, & plan on going back. Stayed @ Harrison bay SP last October... will never go back. It is a few miles north of town. It was very much a Party place. The bathrooms on the RV side were great.... they had just been replaced earlier in the year. They were the best part of staying there. Drive time to get into Chattanooga was about the same. As much as I love our TN state parks, have to go with GA's Cloudland Canyon on this one. Regards, David |
