I know it is close to christmas, but this is a great opportunity.
Henry County Gun Club is proud to announce that we will be hosting a 3-Gun class taught by Ben Fortin on December 18th. Ben shoots for team Benelli and is currently ranked #33 overall in the 3 gun nation standings. In 1996, Fortin joined the United States Army, and has served in that capacity for the past 14 years. Currently ranked as Sergeant First Class, Fortin serves as a Special Forces Senior Engineer Sergeant assigned to the 5th Special Forces Group at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Among his many military duties, Fortin is the advanced marksmanship instructor for the group. He has been deployed to the Middle East numerous times, including an amazing six tours in Iraq. In 2009, Fortin discovered 3-Gun competition and has taken the 3-Gun circuit by storm ever since. The past three years has seen him claim multiple 3-Gun titles, and already in 2011, he has placed second in the MGM Iron Man Trooper Class and taken second in the Industry Masters Team Event. The class will begin promptly at 8:00am with classroom work. Then will move on to the range for instruction concentrating in pistol, shotgun, and rifle. Culminating in a match scenario on the 600yd range. This class will be aimed at the newer 3-gun shooter but will have plenty to offer for competitors of all skill level. Students will need to bring 200 rounds of ammunition for the rifle, pistol, and shotgun. No slugs or buckshot are necessary, only birdshot. Also necessary is Hearing and Eye protection, Water, Note taking materials, Lunch, Snacks, Cold Weather and Rain gear. As well as all your magazines, pouches, belt, holster, etc that you would normally bring to a match. The cost for the class will be $100 and will be due the morning of the class. Also, the class is limited to 10 shooters to ensure each participant gets the personal attention they need. Directions to the range can be found at the Club's website: http://www.henrycountygunclub.com/map/ For more information, or to register please contact: Tyler McCutcheon Henry County 3-Gun Match Director [email protected] 270-994-0352 |
