NASHVILLE, Tenn.- There was an unlikely scene at a tourist hot spot Sunday morning. Police surrounded a car on Broadway with guns drawn. Inside, there was an unregistered gun in plain sight. Metro Police say this summer they are checking for cars with weapons in plain view to get illegal weapons off the street. "Obviously we want to get any guns off the streets. These are illegal guns. People do not have permits, and they're here for no legitimate purpose," said one officer. Since police started these checks at the beginning of summer, they've already confiscated around 20 weapons in the downtown area alone. Golly gee whiz, Beaver. I guess I'm going to have to rush down to the courthouse & "register" all of my weapons.............

| That's a tactic used by the Marxists to get things done. They make it seem like guns are registered, and then when they try to push it through and people think," well I thought they were already registered," they can get it through. Just like MGs, people already think they are "illegal" when anybody that can buy a handgun can own one. It's the world we live in and there's not much we can do about it on a national scale until we take care of it on the state level. |
