Just lots of rain out here off Hacks.  Just glad that I live in an area that is not prone to flooding.

jacksons getting better. but you still need a decent knowledge of side streets to get from north to south ends of town. highlands blocked in several places. 45 WAS blocked at several places. The Budweiser distributor is completly flooded. massive damage.  Old Country Auto at Airways and 45 is gonna have to replace EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEIR VEHICLES. the water was over the cabs of their trucks. the sinkhole on forrest has blocked access from hollywood to the hospital.  downed powerlines has blocked highland at skyline. ALL MAJOR ROADS TO THE HOSPITAL FROM OUT NORTH ARE FUBAR RIGHT NOW.

Reports of water rescues in Hickman County on I-40!

Levee break on a man made lake in NE Madison County.

Thankfully I'm high and dry today.  The worst of it missed us to the North and South.  There are reports in NW TN of water over roads that no one remembers ever being submerged before.

Getting on 396 in Spring Hill the exit ramp was flooded over, local cops blocked that in case some bubba thought they'd make it through (as reported by the wife.)
Also, she was @ Kohl's when the Tornado Warning came out, they had their customers huddle in the dressing rooms for a half an hour or so, I thought that was nice of them
I left this morning for work before the bottom dropped out. I must admit I'm curious what the drive home will bring for me and my Honda.

Just occured to me that my place of employment is in a floodplain.  There used to be a line on the breakroom wall, showing how high the water got back in the 1970's, when the Cumberland flooded the place.

Haven't had any problems around the house, but I get the feeling that Monday morning is not going to be a fun time at work.

My father and I got out around 1830 to make a grocery run. Drove down Airways to turn left to take 45 Bypass to Kroger Lynwood. I couldn't believe what we saw at Old Country Auto. All those vehicles are flooded out. Plus I know Mr. Green has the showroom full of auto collectibles and some old restorations... I bet its all trashed. The fields around the Forked Deer river looked like lakes. We've been hearing all day that both hospitals in town are running off generators for power. The postman told us that Boone Lane and Westover/ Bemis is completely flooded, no access.

sounds pretty bad over in Trenton. Just talked to somebody over there, said they were evacuating the inmates from the county jail. said the got a judge to come down and commute some sentences so they could just release them, non violents and the like, still makes you go they are sending some to crocket county and some to madison county, or so im told.  had to call in the national guard.  apparntly there were some daring rescues of some dumb drunks who had gotten in way over their heads

only road that comes directly into jackson from the north or the west that is passable is hwy 412.  we have some significant damage to our roads here in jackson. dont know how long it will take to fix, but the main road coming into the hospital, forest st, is fubar.  go to jacksonsun.com, the picture of the hole in the road where you can see the 2 back wheels of a red truck.....thats about 200 yds from the hospital.

Well rain has stopped for right not. But about 75' of my 1,400 ft drive way is gone. I reworked my drive vway about 10 years ago put in a 36" culvert, cut an over flow area about 5' deep, and 4' wide, added a 12" culvert to take that area when it backs up to the culvert, and for this 1st time, it ran over my drive for an area about 75' long area.......

I spent 3,500 last year adding gravel, and having it graded........

Sorry to hear that. I know what that means to a farmer.

McNairy county is a mess, couldn't get to church this morning - I live on a hill but the three low spots on the roads around me kept me on the hill until 11:30.

No major damage, though. Just lots of rain, a few trees down; one across the road north of Michie, went around it before TDOT blocked the road. Not sure how I'm gonna get home now.

On my way in to Corinth, MS, a bridge was flooded - fire and rescue vehicles were looking for something in the floodwaters. Not sure what that was....
