Will be coming to Memphis probably Wed-Fri, and am curious about what area NOT to book a hotel?
Also what are some must see places?
Thanks.

Book in East Memphis (Poplar Ave area), Germantown, Collierville.
Area of town you plan on hanging around?

You might try the Hampton Inn on Walnut Grove. Just off 240, next to a hospital (incase you get shot), and Shelby Farms is a hop skip and a jump away. It is also pretty easy to get just about anywhere in Memphis from here.

That would be a decent location strategically.

I'll be in town for a day or two for sightseeing purposes, so I am open to any suggestions or recommendations.

For sight seeing you need to make a trip downtown to Beale St. I would also recomend visiting the zoo, we actually have a pretty nice one here. If the weather is nice, I would suggest going for a walk at Shelby Farms.

Trip went great, stayed at the Drury Inn out on the east side.
Beale street was cool, went to Graceland, and Sun Studio, and saw the Lorraine Motel
Had supper at Marlowe's, anyone else think their ribs are salty, and the sauce is paste?
