Is anyone familiar with a Fed Ex or UPS hub in or near Nashville that will allow an individual to ship a firearm to an FFL?
Thanks. |

Any of them should. I've used both over the years, but most recently, FedEx.
FedEx has a sign indicating that they want to ban carry of weapons on their premises (though it's not a legal sign under TN law––it's just a circle/slash with a silhouette of a gun & a knife in it), but they have no problem accepting a gun for shipment. They also are leading the fight in the legislature against allowing HCP holders to have their guns in their cars at the workplace. Having said that, they are professional, & do a good job. Have it packed securely (and, it goes without saying: make dang sure it's unloaded!!!). It must ship overnight with adult signature. I also insured the handgun I sent back to S & W for repair recently. They handled it quickly & professionally. The gun was delivered to S&W, repaired, & returned to me, also via FedEx. The specific location I used was the FedEx office in MetroCenter for outbound shipping. Pickup was in CoolSprings. No problems either place. David |
UPS hub at Seaboard in Franklin let me even though at first he said know. I should him a printout out from UPS' webpage and got the receiving shop's guy on the phone in RI w/ FFL ready or whatever and he let me ship. Never got any response from the receiving arfcommer as I think he didn't want to give me the extra freight money (or he's doing 2-5 and can't log in).
Either way....UPS does allow but like anyone else with guns...make sure you talk to an educated person. And bring documentation if possible. Robo, you taling bout the dude at Massman with the hairlip? Is he on here? |
