I have several updates...

Feb's 3gun match will be on the 22nd which is the Sunday following the 3rd Saturday IPSC match, even though it's technically the 4th Sunday.

Second, we're moving the start time up to NOON.  Please try to be there 30 minutes early!

Third, we will now be having official 3gun practice on the Saturday before the match at 3pm AND on the day of the match starting at 10am.  You can come sight in your rifle or set up some targets and practice.

Finally, this match will have considerably higher round count for rifle and shotgun, more movement, no position shooting (at least, you won't need kneepads) and very few props.

As always, check the www.orsamultigun.com website a few days before the match for a target count and estimated ammo requirement.

going to try and make it , there are only a couple stages up on the website. do you have a approxiate round count for the rest of the stages.

yeah, sorry.  i've been out of town so haven't finished all the stages.  i'll try to get them up by midnight tomorrow
the first stage will be fairly high round count shotgun stage (all the poppers we've got, plus the texas star, plus some knock-over plates) but it's being done by someone else, so it won't be posted to the website
the last two will probably be low-round-count rifle/pistol combo

we have plenty of chamber flags

look forward to meeting you!

taliv, would a Saiga shotgun be allowed? Afriend of mine wants to buy one and asked if they are GTG. Ron

absolutely, and it'll be pretty dang handy for this match, as we will have a record # of shotgun targets :)

however, it will put you in "open" class, not that it matters much for our match.  you'll want to make sure you've got three 10 rnd mags since all the shotgun targets are on one stage :) and you won't wnat to take the time to reload the mags on the clock...

btw, all the stages are up on the website (http://www.orsamultigun.com) now except the first stage.  target count is 39 rifle targets, 24 pistol, 26 shotgun.  as usual, if you bring 100 rifle, 100 pistol and two boxes of shotgun shells, to be safe, you'll probably take a little less than half of them home with you.

I don't have any shotshell holders, what the easiest way to carry the shells for the stage?

actually, neither do I as i'm shooting tactical this time and all my shotgun stuff is for open.

there will be some tables set up in front of the shooting boxes and you can just place your ammo on the tables and load from that.  there's no actual requirement to be able to hold that much ammo on your person.  (well, there might be, but we're trying to be extremely n00b-friendly)   loaders are a good idea though as they will probably be faster.

Thanks Tom, had a good time. Sunday was good cold weather practice if I ever decide to invade Canada.
