Stopped by the Charter cable office in Lebanon yesterday to pay my bill, and there is a sign that says No Weapons Permitted on the property. The only problem is, the sign is inside, on the front of the counter. The glass on the front door is tinted, so you can't see the sign through it unless you specifically know to look for it. Unlesss I am mistaken, TN law requires a sign on the door of the business if you want to prohibit weapons. Also the sign specifically mentions property, so do I have to take the gun out of my car before I pull into the parking lot? I suppose I may start paying my bill online or by mail, or just cancel altogether. |

I pay charter online, but if you wanna stick it to them, quit and get satellite for TV and DSL for modem. I used to have directv, and it was okay. The only reason I switched to cable was because at that time you couldn't get local channels on satellite. That's no longer the case, so other than for modem use, satellite is just fine. I don't think you'd want satellite modem though. From what I've read, it doesn't look good. I'm sure DSL through the phone company would be fine though. |
agreed! i would like to know where i cant carry. especially if the sign isnt very visible. i know i dont stare at every door before i go in. if its not in plain sight (like the courthouse with a bigger no gun sticker than the no smoking sticker) i dont pay attention. -Tim |

we can start it, but i am going to keep it controlled by keeping it as a locked thread, and allowing submissions via IM as opposed to letting members post. these things tend to get way out of hand, conversation wise, if they are left as open threads. all in favor? |
