Hank is asking if the TN Forum would like to have tacked a thread listing the TN match info. IPSC, IDPA, 3 Gun, etc. etc. Rather than a thread, this would be a locked post giving the dates (2nd weekend, etc.) as well as web sites for the hosting clubs for directions, etc. Hank wants to gauge interest in here for this sort of thing, so if anyone thinks this is a good idea, please tag this thread saying so. This will allow folks who want to do a match to not have to depend on those such as McFooter & myself to always keep this info current. Thanks in advance! Bob |

It sounds like a good idea but could be a lot of work to do it well. I don’t get the feeling that there is a huge competitor following in the TN Hometown forum but I know a few people have found matches listed here and decided to try them, which is the purpose. Will this be a list of all of TN and only TN or would/could/should some of the surrounding area matches be included? Will this be a list of regular club matches only or have a place for special events also? Does there need to be a thread to submit new listings to be added or do they just need to be sent to the moderator? Just a couple questions that come to mind before you get started. I would love to see info on a tacked thread because I would love to start shooting at matches (even if I get my rear beaten). But I will not likely be able to play till late summer/fall as matches tend to be on the saturdays and that is when I make make the most money in spring/early summer.(insert cheesy a$$ frowning smiley, I just can't bring myself to use that crap. )I did just see that MSSA has IDPA matches first sat of the month, so I plan on trying to join the fun in august, or september!!! But back to the topic I would love to see a post that kept match dates available. edit spelling |
i agree- TN only. if anyone in those respective hometowns want to start this up for their forums, i could link them in the coming announcement. but- this... is... TENNESSEE!

Memphis Sport Shooting Association holds many matches in lots of different disciplines. And you don't have to be a member to shoot in the matches. HKO |
