I am going to make the move back to the South within the next year. My little brother and his family are moving up to Bristol so I am considering that area. Before I came out here to Oregon I was living in the general Asheville, NC area. I am seriously partial to the mountains and will be looking either in Eastern Ten or Western NC. Anyone know anything about the area around Bristol? Any suggestions or advise? Good spots to locate in Ten mountainous and not chocked full of humans? I sure would appreciate it. Thanks folks! |

Sounds like you would like Unicoi County. I have a relative that lives in an area you describe. He is near Erwin, but farther east up the mountain towards NC. These are only the areas I am familiar with or have been too, but you may also want to check into Mountain City, Butler, Hampton, any of that area near the NC/TN line. |
