Well it is official, The bags are packed, and Wednesday morning I am leaving Houston, TX. for Casper. Here is the real question, I am taking my 30' Travel trailer to live in. I am interested in buying some land in the Casper area, not in the city limits (withen 20 miles). I am not looking for much, maybe an acre or so. Preferably mobile home ready. If anyone has something that may fit that bill for sale, please let me know, I would love to discuss terms etc. The plan is to live in the trailer till I am ready to eith A. build, or B. (most likely) buy a decent used m/h to bring up the family next spring.

Welcome casper is a great place to raise a family. You will need to establish what you are looking to spend, because prices vary widely here. Real estate is available though and there are lots to choose from now. Probably easier to get here then look because lots of the stuff that is available goes pretty fast if it is a decent price.

I have reservations at an RV park for a pretty decent price. I figure I should have a good chance looking through Church.

If you plan to stay in the TT full-time through the winter, then I would seriously suggest looking into getting some good insulated skirting to go around the bottom of the trailer. Winter is coming up fast and the freezing temps can wreck havoc on trailer plumbing...ask me how I know (Had to replace a water heater, p-trap, water-pump). If you have a decent propane/electric heater you should be good for the interior. Especially if you are going to be hooked up to city utilities.

Welcome to Wyoming

It is a 4 season unit, all of the plumbing is inside the trailer (I know I just replaced it this spring). The skirting will be installed before long, that is for sure. Will be on city util except for my LPG.

Jim Edgeworth is a local estate agent, he puts everything on the MLS in Wyoming on his website.  jimedgeworth.com

Might not be a bad place to start.
