I understand the brick and mortar / rent and utilities part but..... What's with the price difference on USGI mags from the store and whats online. I've been looking around and wanted to support the local gun shops considering the wash between sales tax and shipping but this is a bit nuts. On the EE industry partners are charging between 9.99 to 12.99 (ball park) where the local stores, three I've been in noticed the same USGI mags going for 20 to 30 dollars. The only thing I can think of is they bought when the price was high and need to pass that along. The online guys do such a high volume they turned over the high price mags and are selling them at the new price from the manufacture. |

I noticed that too, I can't figure out why they are so high... I bought most of my mags online mostly due to the fact that I bought in bulk, and I don't see any reason to overpay. I know hindsight is 20/20 but I wouldn't have loaded up like they did in case the bubble burst. Which it did. |
Even before the election the local prices were to high, I was paying about $10 a piece for D&H mags online and places like getsome were selling them for about $22 each.
Atleast I was able to get glock mags cheap local, they ran me about $20 each over at impact, but after the election they raised their prices to $29...
For a while I was getting OEM glock mags from copesdist.com for about $15 each, but after shipping it only made sense if I bought a bunch at once. Impact had some OEM beretta M9 mags for about $15 each for a while, that was nice. |
