[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Private Class 3 Transfer in Utah?

Do you have to use a Class 3 dealer to do a SBR transfer in Utah from a private party to a private party? Obviously, it requires a degree of trust to pay and have the person hold the weapon until BATFE transfer approval. Just wondering if anyone has done it.

Within residents of the same state it is a Form 4 to Form 4. No dealer need be involved.

I'm in the process right now with another board member.

It's just a Form 4 transfer. A C3 dealer doesn't need to get involved; however, you do have to trust the person since the process takes a few months.
