| I don't know about the rest of you, but right now is my favorite time of year. The leaves are changing and there are frequent snowstorms that only leave snow on the ground for a few hours or days at the most. It's also my favorite time of the year to go shooting. I hate shooting in the summer, too dang hot. |

We moved here 1 year ago this week. Weather is nicer this week but 1 year later we still love this place. Before here I lived in Hawaii and California and this for all aroundness has to be God's lil secret. Still getting used to the snow stuff obviously but the fall here is incredible. Any ideas how this winter will be? Harsh medium lame? we kind want a hard core winter this is our Winter assault vehicle Ps and like I have said before you ever see me in this or the yellow 2006 vette say hello would love to meet you guys. Anyhow we love this area.

OHHHHHHHHH YEA BABY!!! COME ON SNOW!!!!! This is my abso-freakin'-lutely favorite time of year! It drives my wife nuts because she says I get 'that look'. She knows that hunting seasons are coming up. She knows that it means that I will be spending a lot of time out in the woods wandering around. She has learned that it is just best to stay out of the way... let the boy do his thing and by early spring it will all be over. We havent had a really 'good' winter here in a long time. Well, there was the one a couple years ago, but that one even felt kind of mild. Im really hoping that this year is a good one. Got my tag for the general buck hunt, got a couple good places scouted out... just need to get the leaves off of the trees and some snow on the ground to make it easier. Im thinking it's going to be a good one though... the critters are telling me it's going to be a nice strong winter.  There's a walnut tree outside of my work window. Couple squirrels live in it. They have been going absolutely NUTS lately gathering walnuts. Usually they just pack some away, the ravens and magpies get some and it's all good. Usually it's no big rush... pack them as they come in and it's all good. This year the squirrels have a HUGE stash of nuts at the bottom of the tree. It's like they are planning for famine. They usually run single nuts over to the stash tree. This year they built this huge pile of nuts at the bottom of the walnut tree and one gathers while the other stashes. Guessing at the size of the pile, Im guessing about 40-50lbs of walnuts. They are actually guarding the pile while one hauls them to the stash tree. Those little squirrels having a stand off with the ravens and magpies has provided some pretty good entertainment. |
Dude, the snow is going to be AWFUL!!! Trust me, you'd better move back to California

  Excellent specimen of an EB Sir!!! Very jealous! I'm hoping it snows like hell here in ID....and in UT also. We are going to need pics of that Bronco tearing it up.

There is a huge shortage of nurses in the area here. Every time I'm at the hospital there are new contract nurses. Seems to be more of them than there are regular employees. |
Salt Lake City. The Univ. of Utah Hospital is trying to open a new floor but they currently don't have enough nurses to staff it. Intermountain Health Care is opening a brand new facility end of next month as well. |
 That’s my favorite time to hunt them, right after a good snow fall.  I got to check function on the lockers yesterday, and I got all the fluids flushed, changed. My 4x4 is ready!  |
