Hey folsk I went through the trainign and got all my papers signed and just came from my local PD for fingerprinting.

Here is my question. On the FBI Fingerprint form (FD-258) there is a section that states

Employer and Address.

Do I leave that blank?

Thanks

I filled it in.  It's not like it's something you can hide since if they really wanted it they could look into your taxes and find the W2 from your employer.

I am not trying to hide anything, the reason for my post was to ask what goes in that box.

Most instances when someone is filling out the FBI Fingerprint form is related to a job requirement, school teacher, Nursing home etc..etc..

So my question is based around the fact that this is not employment related...what goes in the box...

Not trying to hide anything...come on I am giving them my fingerprints..if I was trying to hide something I would not even do that...

Found an answer, they (Utah) wants your current employer even if this is not for an employer BI

Brother me thinks you over thought that question. After doing fed consulting on terrorism finance high tech crime etc. I can tell you the easiest answer is the correct answer. I have been told so many times that fed stuff is written for a 6th grade education.

Every example I saw for this form was for employment...since this was not for employment that is why I asked...better to ask then to send it off either blank or with the wrong information. The police officer that took our prints thought it might be a spot for his employer (as the person taking the prints)
