Really? This is the first time in 10 years or so of shooting that I have ever seen it closed. The Hunter's Ed range right behind the main building is always closed, but the handgun / rimfire range between the second gate and the 100 yard rifle range is usually open. |
Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong range. The only two that are open when I'm there are the two eastern most ranges. |

I shot at Lee Kay on Thursday, the pistol range is indeed closed for some repair/maintenance work. It think it is closed from the 19th until the end of this week. I was visiting from Cali, that was the first time I ever shot there. Not a bad facility. The gentleman at the desk was super nice. Took the time to explain how things worked there. We had a good time. |
I bet you were thinking of the Hunter's Ed range that is right behind the building. It is almost always closed. I have seen some LEO on it before, but mostly it is used for Hunter's Ed stuff. The next one east is the handgun / rimfire range, then the one furthest east is the rifle range. |
