Well after a few years of planning and a 8 months of looking almost there. My current job has agreed to allow me to relocate to Boise, as soon as this years funding is in place on my contract. They will support me for at least 12 months.

Right now it’s looking as if may/june will be our moving time frame. My wife and I have been told to stay away form Nampa and Caldwell. I’m online today looking at rental houses and is Nampa really that bad?

Anyone work for or know anyone in property management?

Do you speak spanish?  Caldwell is the armpit. Nampa not so bad, where you working? because everyone commutes to boise from nampa so the freeway can be hell.

You won't have problems finding a house to buy or rent.

Yeah that’s what we’ve heard about Caldwell. I’m going to be working from home so that makes it very nice. But I do travel out of state and don’t want to be in an area were I have to worry to much about my wife and daughter home alone, even armed I still worry about my girls.

And then there is the chance that I could have to change jobs in the next year so down the road a driving to work might have to happen. Will probably spend the next year looking for a job with less travel. Playing that by ear though.

Nampa is tempting because the rents look to be a couple hundred lower a month but don’t want to sacrifice on neighborhood. Is Nampa getting worse or better? Three years ago we moved into a nice area and it’s gone to crap.

They are actually leveling some of the shanty towns/trailer parks ect.  Just pick a good subdivision & you are GTG
