The first mod I tried at making a "Stubby" version was one I saw on the NET
that simply cut the tube & inner plug down and used the remaining thread (not much more than one left) to screw it back in. The end cap did not fit too well with this mod and I was limited to how short I could make the grip by the plug's design. You can see in the picture (middle VDF) that it is one ring longer than the shorter version to it's left.

I decided I wanted something a little shorter and made a new end cap from Delrin on the lathe.  It screws right into the end of any KAC VDF that has been cut flush with the last ring on the standard size VDF.  It makes for a nice flat shooting platform and still has room for a few tools.  There is a 9/16th slot cut in the bottom so tighten or loosen with a coin.  I currently have some loc-tite, a cut down Larue & Allen wrenches, and two plugs to keep them from making noise.

Indeed...I did not know I could use a spot light out my truck window while having a loaded weapon as long as I have my CHL...

The harrasment sectoin is also very eye opening...I'm not agressive but one who may be inclinded could be asking for trouble...

Hard to believe the crime is shinning the light, not shooting at jackrabbits while shining the light. :)

Technically you could have a legal handgun on your dashboard, turn your flood light on and you get a Class B Violation.

Laws, they don't HAVE tom make sense, they are the LAW!
