Sorry to hear about your stroke. I hope that you have a fast recovery and that you have family there for support.
My Father had a stroke and he was surrounded by Family as he recovered. As you know, strokes effect people differently. My Father lost the ability to read words. He could tell you the individual letters, but the part of his mind that put those letters together to form words was just....gone. He also lost his long-term memory about his Parent's death. It was very hard to watch my Father wake every morning and cry because he just found out that his Mother and Father were dead. In his mind, they had just died, but in reality they had been dead for over 30 years. Keep using your mind and body every day and don't give up.
