I haven't seen anything posted on this, if I'm lbehind the times sorry. Just did a F4 in The PRMC and the process has changed a lot since the last one. You now have to go over to the 122nd street location, there's a $35 "background check" fee, you have to submit your FP cards and citizenship form along with your forms. Supposedly the last part is a mandate from the ATF. If you go to the old location they will have no clue. The lady that handles everything was very helpful, even printed off a citizenship form for me to fill out since I didn't realise I needed to bring one. She said they had gotten so many recently they had to start charging as it was just becoming a full time position just to process forms. The big suprise was when I got them back, no nasty letter!

I assume you mean Kimberly Walker-Norton?

I dropped my Form 4 off on tuesday for a KAC QDSS suppressor. She seemed really helpful despite the fact that it sounded like they were up to their necks in ATF paperwork.

It's a bit annoying it's not 35 dollars for a background check, when those cost 10 dollars I believe. When Sheriff Skipper was still handling them it took a week to get processed and was completely free minus the postage.

At least for future NFA stuff it's nice to know the route I'll have to take for CLEO sign off here in Multnomah county.

great info azathoth, always good to know the current rules for NFA sign off.  $35 background fee is BS though, it was free before.

I've got several items under a trust, but prefer to do an individual transfer when I can. Wish I had the money to see how the new new sheriff will handle things. I don't have any AOW stamps yet.

So how's this for awesome. I dropped my paperwork off 25 days ago to the MCSO, along with my finger print cards, 200 dollar check, etc. Basically everything.

I'm wondering why it's taking so long (Skipper used to sign my stuff and get it back within a week), turns out they cashed my check and then lost ALL my paperwork.

So now I need to get another pair of Form 4s from my SOT, get re-finger printed (the MCSO better offer to re-print me for free), and get everything prepped again.

God....damnit.

I thought form 1 was best if avaliable due to it being a one time deal.

What happens if the trust is no longer if you go form 4?
