I recall these were sold on the EE back in the day.  It struck me as an excellent way to store your black rifle when it's out of the safe, vs just leaning it in the corner.

I bought a single with mag storage.  I'm going to mount it in my walk in closet.

There is a guy that does those locally.

He is usually at the gunshow. Nice guy with good product.

It arrived today.  Installation took about 30 min.

The thing comes with no way to mount it.  I drilled a hole in the top back plate and had to drill a 1" hold int he front of the magazine holder and another hold lower on the back plate.  Whatever.
Found a 2x4 and used 1/4"x3" lag screws to mount it - you could hang on this thing,  Socket, rachet and few dozen turns and Ta-Da'

Is there a way to secure the rifle to the mount?

I'm sure it locks in with the mag catch. That's how my vise block works...

When I say "secure" I mean "lock it to".

No lock - just the magazine catch keeps it from falling off.
Gack - you're funny - I'd need a step stool or somthing.

Sorry WS ,I don't think it would support enough weight with all of your accessories on it.

I think I could run a lock through a hole I could drill in the part that holds the rifle (fake mag) and run it through the trigger guard... not totally secure but might keep the kids off it... hmmmm...

I have been looking for something like this for a while... Thanks.

While I don't have any crumb crunchers running around very often, it does happen.  I mounted mine up about eye level.  I wanted it high enough that it wasn't in the way of dragging stuff out of the safes.
My plan is to just leave it on the rack at night - in the event of a water landing, I can grab it and go, vs looking for the key and trying get stuff out of the safe.  Lock it back up when I go to work.

As for adding a lock - maybe a cable lock like the ones that come with a new handgun - hole thru the 'mag' and loop it thru the trigger guard.  Viola
