| Stopped in to the Secuity Store today and was less than impressed. I had talked to one of the guys at the Gunshow and he said that the store was fully stocked and had great deals so I decided to go. Once inside I quickly saw the pegboards and shelves stocked with oogles and oogles of that "made in China" crap that people have been pushing lately. A buddy asked the guy behind the counter if he could look at the Etotech and the guy said he doesnt let people look at them, He said people who buy Eotechs already know what they look like so no need to get it out. My buddy told him ok, nevermind, I will take my business elsewhere. Anyone have any suggestions for westside Portland dealers who have Eotechs and Aimpoints in stock that would like some business?? |

I live by this place so stopped in a few times during my ar built to look for things to add on. I asked similar questions about eotechs and various other items and they were little help. So would have to agree with everyone else when they say the staff is retarded.
I usually go over to beavercreek when i need stuff...although iv been waiting 3 months for a lower i ordered to come in when they told me they has some coming in a week |

Sorry but that seems to be pretty common with that place. My rifle took about five months longer than the week and a half promised me. I'm not the only one either. My money goes elsewhere these days. Oh and it didn't have the correct bolt carrier when I did get it. I figured I could adjust and then just walk away....... forever. I generally don't badmouth places or business to quickly, but I just don't trust them. There are other stories as well. Bad Juju. |

Went by this afternoon to see what they had after reading about them here. it'll be my last trip there.
First, as said before, put off by the no ccw rule off the bat. Their supply is pretty good. Their prices are horrible. If people are willing to pay those prices, I will be surprised. I was less than impressed with the info being given out to customers. It was mostly bs and bordered on outright false information. |

I am starting to think that other than the Gun Broker, that there is no gun shop worth going to on the west side of the river (In metro Portland anyways). When I went to Beaver Creek armory, I got the same feeling as you just had, minus the CCW part. The prices sucked, and the lady in there was going off for 20 minutes about how Obama is going to ban guns the instant he's in office. They did have alot of silencers though, which was kinda cool.... But the selection otherwise was minimal, and most of what they did have wasn't for sale. |

I bought some rivet kits and flats from the security store for a couple AK builds, and i did manage to get 20 AK mags for $10 each right before the election which wasn't a bad deal. But after that I am not too fond of that place. The employees have mediochre CS skills if that, there prices are terrible. I was told by the owner about how the SHF 50cal bolt gun they have is soo hard to get and once this ban goes through it will double in value. But at $1k over what I can get one for when ordering direct from SHF I think I will pass. I have to hand it to them on their selection, its pretty stellar, just their business model and everything else sucks.
As for Beaver Creek Armory, I will never give them my business again. Too much douchebaggery, and stupid high prices. Why is it that we have these shops that have potential, but are run and staffed by people who should not run a business with customer interaction? I really would like to know. I am just glad I have 3 shops out by where I live that are great, have good prices and pretty good CS. Not so much black rifle stuff, but not all my guns are EBR's. |
| Are there any other places in this general area besides the security store and beavercreek? I got most my stuff from the gun show but David at beaver creek assured me he had lowers coming in so thats why I ordered it from them. As I stated above im still waiting on it though and its been like 3 months. Only reason i was able to finish my ar is cause keiths had one at the december show. But i still drop into beavercreek to buy ammunition cause its right by my house and on the way to browns camp. Other then that im not sure of another place out here to buy ammunition besides gi joes? |

Get your green card. Bi-mart has some of the best prices on ammo around. They where a little low on 9mm last time I was there but normaly have a decent selection and fair prices.

There is also one on 185th at Farmington, in Aloha (which is 3 blocks from my house... I usually walk up there to get ammo), incase that is closer. There is another location just off of Beaverton Hillsdale, east of 217 a bit. |
