Looking at buying a 22 conversion kit for my AR and eventually for an M16.

Is a dedicated 22lr upper and a Ceiner Kit the best way to go with some 30rnd black dog mags.

Are their any other 22 kits that use somewhat in-expensive hi cap 22 mags?
And will function in an M16?

I believe Ceiner is your only option for M16.....just buy the M16 kit, and remove the sear trip and anti-bounce weight to run in a semi.

Unfortunately Ceiner is the best thing going for now, if you can find one. It sounds like a few companies have things in the works though.

I hear it's a decent kit.  Mags seem to have been a problem but BlackDog is going to be making those too.  Downside is it doesn't run in full auto applications.

Excellent,

Looks like I will be getting a Ceiner kit /w some Black dog mags. Although the LM7 and AM15 uppers were pretty tempting.

Ciener is still the best bet out there unless you get a genuine m261(not the Oly arms kits).  I've yet to hear any good reviews of the Olympic Arms kits.  Thats why we decided not to carry them.

I have 3 m-261 kits (just got another while at the BC shoot) and they have all been reliable for me.  I don't have any BDM mags yet, but they're on the way.  From what I've read, the m-261 and Ceiner kits are about equal in reliability...

FYI, Tactical Solutions is also building one that takes a complete upper. I got to handle it at SHOT...it's similar to a Ciener kit, but MUCH improved.

It also takes the BDM mags.
