So, I've got a completed form 1 (for a SBR) here. What's the procedure for getting Sheriff Bernie's scribble on it? Do I mail it in, take it in in person, or what?

Mail it to:

Multnomah County Sheriff's Office
Attn: Caren Moyer
501 SE HAWTHORNE BLVD., SUITE 350
PORTLAND, OR 97214

Send both forms in with a simple letter requesting that the sheriff sign the forms. Also send in a copy of your ODL and return address.......doh!

Send it in and wait a day or so to see if they have received it or you can take it down directly. It will probably be two or so weeks out for him to sign it and get it returned.

You have two copies of the Form 1 don't you?

You need two signed by the sheriff copies. One will stay on record with the BATF and one will come back to you as a BATF signed copy. The official one you will have as proof.

if you take them directly to the place do you need a letter asking him to sign them, or will his ass. do that for you and the drivers license copy will she take that????? Thanks Guys

I've both dropped them off and mailed them, but when I dropped it off I included a letter describing what the forms are and what they need to do. It may not be necessary, since they do enough of them to know what the forms are.

And I normally include a copy of ODL and my CHL as well.

taking them to uncle bernie this week? I've been busy with the new work shift 10 in the morning to 8 at night makes it hard to do business with others cause i am rushing to get done and then to work... I know i need to get on it i need my toy..
