Anyone know or have an insurer/insurance policy that covers their firearms and belongings completely? I was looking at allstate, but they wanted to limit damages to my firearms to $2000 (at this point they are priceless to me, but that still falls well short of the price tag I would put on them)

Suggestions?

Thanks!

State Farm.  Check with them.   My neighbor is an agent and will be covering us after this month.  He asked me to get all the serial numbers, pictures, any bills of sale that I had, and estimates on prices.  He said that they are actually pretty good about covering.  I have 2 cars and the renters that will be all from him.

He even put both of my Bows down ( about 2500 bucks ) so I was really happy.

I have my auto and renters on the same policy. On my renters I have an additional rider for all my guns and stuff to go with them. They are listed out, itemized, I put values on them, and they write out a policy. I think my rider is for about $8k or $9k just for my guns and its about $115 a year. Covers them for lots of stuff, fire, theft, loss, etc. etc.

If you want the name of my inurance rep I can message it to ya. Or heck, I'll post it for anyone interested. Office is located in Canby.

I actually switched my auto and everything to him cause of the local office to me and price. I had it pretty good with Geico and he beat their price, plus took the time to explain to me my coverages and such. A lady named Charmin will probably answer, I work with her husband and thats how I found him. Tell him Jake from Fisher's sent ya.

NRA insurance? As I recall. up to $10K for $1.66 per year per $100 of coverage. More coverage with other premiums and risk assessment. They also offer self-defense insurance for both criminal and civil litigation reimbursement.

I don't use them myself, but it seems reasonable and supported by the NRA.

Don’t recall what the renter’s policy was, but my State Farm homeowners policy started at $2500 for theft then increased to $5000 for a small sum. Beyond that it’s $1.42 per $100 in value per year.

I just added a firearm rider to my Farmers insurance. Just the standard renters insurance only covered $200 or something like that.
A lot cheaper than I expected. Do you currently have renters insurance, or just looking into it?

I went through Farmers for my truck and renters. With $30K renters and high gun limit of $3K, I'm paying something like $120/year. For alll my policies, high limit full coverage on my truck and renters, it comes out to $84/mo.

It's expensive if you have nice firearms.

I have two separate riders on my home owner's insurance for firearms and art work.

It wasn't very expensive at all.

I go through Farmer's  not sure how that pricing would compare to renter's insurance - shared walls for fire coverage, etc.

I decided long ago to self-insure my firearms.  Instead of paying for a rider on a policy and paying premiums every 6 months, I ordered a custom safe.  Its 1200 pounds and bolted to the floor.  It has not been opened nor moved one inch unless I wanted it to.  It was well worth the money amortized over 6 moves, 2 countrys, 2 states and 30 years.

But how does that insure your guns while in your car, in the field, or just anywhere outside the safe? I keep all mine in a big fire safe also but still added the insurance rider to them for when they are not in the safe.

If they are not in the safe they are with me!

I have Safeco for auto and homeowners and there is no firearms limit or riders needed up to my personal property limits. It was the least expensive out of Progressive, Farmers, and a few others that my agent quoted me on.
