I am in the process of building a 9mm AR and am going to Duracoat the handguards Magpul tan. Does anyone know where I can send the handguards to be sprayed as I can't really see having enough tan laying around to spray 5 rifles just so I can have tan handguards.

Try Two Smokin Gunns in Beaverton  @ 503-626-2117.  I just took my P220 over to them for a complete duracote

I just got done looking up prices and.....damn, some people want $80 to spray it!. I was trying to not have a ton of Duracoat left over, and I don't mind doing it myself. I guess I'll head on over to the EE and see if anyone is selling extra Duracoat, Jeez!

doubletrouble beat me to it....Guncoat NW guys' work is outstanding...serious drool factor. They've brought some very cool toys to drool over to PR in the past....I will definitely be giving them business in the future!

I would give my business to Guncoat NW,, except that Dual Gunns is a block from my work which makes it a bit easier for me.  I do agree that Guncoat does an excellent job.

what kind of handguards? the stock plastic ones or some metal rail system.

Im a do it yourself kind of guy. Just another option, but if you have second thoughts on sending your parts out, you can always get some sort of aerosol coating.  comes in a spray can, under 10 bux, and enough products on the market to meet your need.

I order from brownells often, they have quite a few product lines. air dry or oven cured, can or airbrush.  then you can also do a few other parts, with out breaking the bank or having tons of extras.

I have the YHM Spectre Length HG and I want to Duracoat them Magpul Tan. I don't really care about spending the whole $16.95 for the paint, it's the fact that I could probably finish 30 of these handguards with the 4 oz bottle that you have to get.
