The 2nd annual ECSA Machinegun shoot has been officially scheduled for June 16-17, 2007. Click for details Hope to see you there! |
I hope we just do what we did last year. In that case, I'm willing to pony up some cash for the ARFcom spaces... |
|
Hey EK, any word on the cannon guys that were mentioned last year? What about the NG maybe setting up a recruting table with some live fire demos? Oh and if your dept has any out of date flashbangs they sure would be fun for hte night shoot.... <---- Doesnt have the right letterhead to order any or thats all I would bring!!!
|
Nothing yet on the cannon guys. I'll see if I can make some contacts at the NG. Flashbangs really aren't that impressive, especially out in the open. |
They would be around the campfire or tent city at around oh..... 3am?

I've got my calendar marked! Last year was an excellent shoot, I'm sure that this will just get bigger every year. The NG position is a great idea! I wonder if there's any precedent for that at other shoots? Years ago, the WY NG sponsored an annual "friends and family" shoot, but I didn't know anyone in the guard, so i never got to go... |
All I know is this year I dont want to miss the bigbore trailer loading lesson. I was bummed I missed it last year!!! |
Be sure to drop in Sunday AM! I even have a seater press for the trailer now. nohair may even come back once he hears about that. |

I'm sending in my check today. I guess I need to arrive at the shoot a little sooner and get a spot further up the line, last year I was at Space #25 I think. Last year I stayed at the Mountain View RV Park. It's in Joseph I believe. Has anyone else found another RV Park that's closer than this one? I recall it being about a 10 mile drive to the range. Not too bad, and it's got some decent restaurants not far away, but looking for ideas. Pat, Are you goiing again, and if so, are you thinking about staying at the same RV Park? Also, as this thing grows, as I'm sure it will, has anyone approached the organizer with the idea of "Grandfathering In" the original participants? This would be so that those of us who helped this thing get off the ground and are repeat shooters have priority if there are more applications than line positions. Just a thought. I look forward to these type events, and would hate to be left out if this turns into another Knob Creek. |
WHy not just park the RV at the range? |
| There's a good chance I'll be there, and about 10 of my friends. Who do I get in touch with about camping spots? Also, we're going to be able to do on-demand high-gloss high-resolution prints on the spot for people who want pictures, and might even have on-site videos made and dvds available as well. |
holy crap I completely forgot!! I was working 10 hours days and trying not to get kicked out of my apartment. I'm real sorry nohair, I've got that disk siting in an envelope in my desk drawer. I will send that out as *soon* I finish my last exam on Wensday. |
Last year, spaces were assigned from the middle of the line out, based on the order the registrations were received.
There is the Outpost RV park in Enterprise, just as you head out of town toward the range. It's a little on the rough/rustic side of things.
Yes. The plan is to assign line spaces from the center out, based on receipt of registrations, with the previous year's participants going to the head of the line. However, if you were a participant in the previous year's shoot, but don't get your registration in before the spaces sell out, you are S.O.L. |
Hey, that's my AMMO GUY, and MY MINI UZI!!!! Pat |
Indeed pat, and a fine mini uzi it is! |
