I didn't see anything in there which could be in the least bit offensive - unless you are offended by guns] Anyway - the post I was going to make: I know where this is, but who is shooting? Please post a link to this new ruling on posting pictures containing females. I would think arfcom wouldn't want to be known as a sexist website but we lowey folk can't have acsess to your mod only forums. |

They will still be allowed, however, effective immediately they will be limited to the Team forum only. Our mods and staff have simply had to spend too much time dealing with this issue, so this is necessary. We may review this and make further changes, but your cooperation is appreciated. Any pics which are posted in GD are expected to be "G-rated" and NOT show such things as cleavage or excessively short skirts/shorts. Bikini pics may ONLY be posted in Team, and under the rules posted in the team forum. At the time the present rules were put into place we said they would remain until they became troublesome. The constant pushing of limits has created an undue burden for our volunteer mods, and this is simply too much to ask of them. Again, we appreciate your cooperation.
I left thier names out on purpose. I do not have to explain myself or what I am directed to do any further than I already have. If you have a problem with it, or what I have done, there is a great number of staff on here you can IM to get your resolution. |

Then stop editing it every 5 seconds. Again, I see no pictures that were over a G-rating. Please show the "bad" picture. And you say to back up every little thing someone says you don't like but your basicly saying "I don't have to" when it pertanes to you? WTF? |
If you remember the rules of the mod forum from your stay there, what is discussed there stays there, period. Hence the reason why I do not or will not explain it any further. As I've said already, too many times, if you have a problem with it, then IM staff and you'll get the same response. Your lack of doing that, or understanding of it just makes it that much clear, your problem is not the rule, but more the person enforcing it. Now, if I made a claim about some industry partner sending me a threatening IM, I'd have a copy of it to back it up. If I made a claim of other HTF members sending me IM's about the reason they were not in there was becasue of person XXX, then if I brought it up to you, I'd share it with you to back it up. Backing up claims is one thing, enforcing a rule or a suggestion by staff does not need to go any further than what has already been done. If you have a problem with authority, then go to someone higher up and whine to them. And, I will also add, if you read the last post in that thread, you will see that it will more than likely get un-locked as soon as this is cleared up, hence the reason why it's not trashed. So, what is this about? Me or the locking of the thread? Seems pretty obvious to me

Yea, that's a big problem, and if YOU as the MOD of this forum don't see this a problem then that in it's self is a problem. You should stand up for the Oregon board. |
Was phil's post locked? NO. If you cannot see the difference between your so shooting and some other female who is considered BOTD then that is the problem. You can hate the messege, but to hate the messenger is just pathetic. And if you read the goddamn quote I put in my post from the mod forum you'll see that I was sticking up for people. Your comment about the oregon board is bunk. When have I not stuck up for anyone in here that you didnt' know of? Even you, I've stuck up for you before. Why? Now I really wonder. I'm not gonna continue in this baiting scheme your playing here. Phil did complain, almost an hour ago. Has he since? NO. Am I required to change what staff has directed the mods to do becuase of a few people whining? NO. If you truly have a problem with what was done, it should become obvious by now, to you that your not gonna get any resolution here. So, once agian, my suggestion is to get ahold of a member of staff. |

Next time they update the site software, I am going to put in a request that people should be able to lock their own threads! What is up with people today??? Cape: I understand why you think NoAim's position is so wrong -- but so is the level of personal attack you used. Attack his ideas by all means, shoot them down in flames, but he is entitled to his opinion and we should NOT be attacking each other -- there are enough people out there ready to do that. NoAim: Your language was more moderate, but what was behind it wasn't. Don't rise to the bait so easily. Peta: I don't think there is a single person on this group that thinks your lock was really appropriate (I'm talking about the 556 post lock -- the other was -- IMHO). I think the only thing wrong with the post was including BOTD in the subject line. It got people looking for what was not there. We all know what the BOTD material is, and this just wasn't it. WS4LIF: If you really need to argue with Peta about the way he moderates the group, wouldn't it be better done off-line? At least initially. I will give you that you probably have a much better insight into the politics of this site and how moderation works, but you probably also understand that you just can't have people questioning your every move. In this case, I tend to agree with you -- but either make one or two comments and leave it, or move it up the chain -- having a public row with Peta is not really helpful. --------------------- I just spent a pleasant hour plinking at the CVSC range - had it all to myself. Came home all mellow and relaxed, took one look at this, and feel the need to go burn a couple of thousand rounds ... and I can't afford to! Be nice guys!! |
