Crap.  Does this mean I can't use my BAR-10 (hardly a "classic battle rifle")?

Actually you can.

You can compete using whatever you want, you just wont qualify for the certificates for the "classic" part.....

I'll most likely be shooting my K-31.

I'm trying to get Peta to borrow my Mauser so he'll actually shoot.

And, then, I'll have my Mosin Nagant available.

FYI, I've written Randy for ammo restrictions and estimated round count. I'll post the reply.

It's a team shoot

If I go I'll be shooting a Mosin Nagant. I've got a spare one if a certain mderator wants to borrow it.

He is talking about a bushmaster bar-10!

Yep, he is!

If this is really a classic battle rifle match, can we use muzzle-loaders?  (not that I own one, just curious)

Hey, I want to see you do that.

Either shooting an M1 or an M1, carbine or rifle, depending on which one I can borrow first. BSW

From Randy regard ammo usage:

No restrictions on ammo.  Steel core is okay for this match only.  No round count yet, but probably fairly low by PR standards.

I think I used 60 or so rounds last year if my memory is working.

Shooting an M1 Garand.  I've got an extra one to loan out, but it's not quite as accurate as the one I'll be using.  Shoots about 10" high at 100 yards, and has a tendency to drop the trigger group when ejecting the clip. hock.gif

But if you end up on my squad, anyone's welcome to use the one I'll be shooting.  Bring your own ammo (mil surplus), I have plenty of clips.

Oh, and be sure to stop by the Garand Match on July 22 at TCGC for some practice.

I have a K31 that I might shoot.  I don't have any ammo for it.

I'm thinking about getting a CMP garand... but I'm pretty sure that I can't get it in time for the match.

I'll be shooting a CMP M1 Garand. This match is in it's 3rd year and getting better
every year.  If you don't have a Garand, get one, you won't regret it.

In my perfect world, I'd have one of the tanker garands.  A guy had one at the 100 yd range at TCGC...  that thing was cool.  very light and handy.
