I just bought a shotgun today as well, but mine is an 870 police magnum. Also picked up a Sig P220ST.

I should not be allowed into gunshops unsupervised.

Everything works really smooth. Don't think it needs any polishing. and I have all the ammo necessary for the Match.. I think i'm gonna go as long as it isn't raining.

Mine is a Model 98 and is interchangable with parts from 870. Gonna pistol grip/colapst stock this Biatch!

Thanks and I almost bought an Eothingy yesterday but they only had demo model. I'm not spending $350 on the one everybody fondled.

$350's a bit much if it's a 512.

So you can get the 512 using AA cheaper?.. I'm new to EOThingies and anything would help

You could get the Bushnell version.  I think they are about $100 cheaper and don't have NV capability.  I don't think they are as rugged as the EOTech version, but if cost is a big issue...

I like the "AA" capability because they are all over the place and i have Nickel Metal rechargeables all over the house.

Regular AAs will work for about 600-900 hours genius. No need for NiMH that only hard charge for 3 mnths and don't work for crap in the cold.

+1   A buddy just picked up a Bushnell Holosight for $250 at Sportsmans of all places, and they're cheaper yet online. Considering they come from the same people, I've allways been surprised more guys don't run them. The only real difference I can see is that the Bushnell doesn't have the "roll cage".

Let us know how you like that shotty.......being a cheap bastard, I want good news

actually i want the Benelli collapsible.. .. but they don't make it for the 870 so.. bah.. and how long it lasts? I don't know and it only costed me $160. Cheapest  gone i ever bought!.. As long as it lasts me the entire match i'm happy..

I didn't spend alot on the shotty cuz i gots to buy some optics..

edit: to note. I didn't buy shotty for match.. I bought it to blow stuff up.. I find .223 doesn't fragment Projectors and monitors to well.

PS: Prompt Critical.. Gimme some that Dragon breath ammo!

Yep I got one of those M98's as well.  Great little blaster. and yes 18" barrel with no choke will knock pigeons out of the air while you are sleeping..

LOL.. Now stuff a 3" slug in it.

Edit: Alot of Remington 870 parts will interchange with that. Get it all tactical   With cheap parts for a cheap gun

BTW: Keep the external metal oiled up.. you breathe on it the wrong way and it will spot rust very fast.

Hey, I have the same shotgun. Its a hawk 98. I put a tactical stock with pistol grip, side saddle and a plus 2 on it. But it sticks out a little far do to it having the 18 barrel.I took it to the range the other day and the rear sight fell off somewhere at the range. The shotgun works great. No complaints. I have about 400-500 rounds through it. I beleive all rem 870 parts are interchangable.

my sites are solid everything is good. So you put the 7round max extention tube on and it sticks out a little under the barrel?.. Does the Shot hit it in any way ?

I was going to order that tube but was unsure if i should.. Also I wonder if i can use Remington Barrels on our Rreceivers. Anyone know?

honestly, I havent shot it with the plus two on it. I actually took it off before I went to the range the other day. Its really meant to go with a 20 inch barrel. It sticks past the 18 incher  like 3-4 inches. I am going to get a plus one until the 8 shot mossbergs go on sale again at big 5 for 199.
