Directions to Rose's Deli:

16015 Tualatin-Sherwood Rd.
Sherwood, OR 97140
(503) 925-1060

Map Link

More or less, it's on the corner of Hwy. 99W and Tualatin-Sherwood Road in the "Six Corners" shopping area.

From I-205:
- Take exit 289 (Nyberg Road)
- Drive West on Tualatin-Sherwood Road approx. 4 miles.
- At the shopping center, turn right at the KFC/A&W in the "Regal Cinema" parking lot. (this is before Pacific Hwy 99W).
- Rose's will be on your left.

I'd link their website but it looks like someone forgot to renew the domain name.

No kidding. Very weird. I'm going to stop shooting it until I figure out what's going on.

But, I'll be at the sniper match. I need to practice some more, but so far I'm hitting 1.6 MOA (5") at 300 yards. I need to get that worked down to about 1 MOA before the match. Most of that is me.

Hey gang I really want to make it to my first PR match but I won't have my EBRs with me by this Saturday...

...unless I take a day this week and fly to NV  to get them out of storage & then back to PDX in the same day...hmmm....could be a plan a-brewing....

BTW I'll be signing up at TCGC as a new member this Wednesday, so if any of you will be around, or are teaching that required newbie class, I'd like to say hello!

O.K. I think it is  time I show up to one of these. I have all the equipment I will need, I just need a sponser. How far out are the targets? I have an ar w/ a 10 1/2 inch barrel that I would like to use, but if the targets are to far out I have other options.  Also are silencers O.K. to use?

Targets can range from 25-300 yards.....it's a guess 'till you get there and see the stages. As far as silencers, I don't see why not....but I don't think I've ever seen one out there.

Someone get this guy out at PR with the gun porn!

A couple of issues you may want to consider beforehand.

1) Targets can be up at 3 feet (paper) or out past 200-250 yards (metal). A 10 1/2 should do okay.

2) The rifle must be cased at all times unless your shooting. Previously there's been an incident where after a large round count stange, the rifle was put in a foam lined case. Next stage....well...the foam had melted to the barrel of the rifle. With a suppressor you'll need some way to put away a very hot can without melting something.

Also, you should be prepared to take it off. The timer uses the sound of gunshots to operate. A .223 should be loud enough to trip it, but I'm not sure.

So what would work for storage?

Normally it's a non issue.....but go through 150 rounds of 7.62 in your AK, then let your buddy do the same right after you ( cause you're nice enough to let him shoot your gun ) THEN it becomes a problem........was a nice case...

I've been thinking about this. As I see it, you basically don't want the suppressor to touch anything. So, in a foam hard case, you could remove the foam for just around the entire end of the suppressor. Thus, it would be floating in mid-air with the rest of the rifle suspended on foam.

But I haven't tried it.

Aluminum foil Oven-mits might work. Basically, you might end up trashing the inside of the case a little, but you for sure don't want melted foam attached to your can or barrel.

My silencer geta to hot to touch after just 60 rounds.
I will try and figure something out.

Nomex or Kevlar fabric. Make a sock to slip over the suppressor. Or fiberglass tape, like headers are wrapped with. BSW

I may still make breakfast at Rose's, but I need to be Downtown by 9:00.  On the plus side I'm hoping I'll get to see the Seachickens win their first playoff game in 22 years.  That would be nice.

Have fun and stay dry guys.
