We got about 1-2" here in the Clackamas area. I got my BOB already along with cool weather hiking gear. I'm walking 4.63 miles to work tomorrow morning. Portland dosen't do well with snow and I have no desire to attempt driving with the predicted freezing rain....

Watch for the guy with trekking poles he's armed!

Woke this afternoon to about 3" here in Columbia County.  It was still coming down when it was time to leave for work so I sent my RSVP's and spent the night at the loading bench.

I'm working out some 45 Colt cowboy loads for my early Christmas present and my Model 94.  I now have 100 rounds of 250gr lead bullets loaded over varying amounts of Unique powder.  I'm looking for that one, low recoil, accurate load for my big bore plinkers.

Oh yea, this weathers a real bitch ain't it?

Nice toys!  Are you a cowboy action shooter?

We've got 5" and now have freezing rain.  School was cancelled so no break from the brats...I mean its a near Rockwell moment here at the McNary house.

Turned to rain this morning...no walk to work with the BOB as I much anticipated. Drove the truck without incident.

Not officially.  I just wanted some big bore western stuff for the "collection".

It warmed up to over freezing about 3:00 AM and started to rain.  By daylight it was just real wet and slushy here.

I'm still wanting a 45-70 "cowboy" lever action. But then...that's yet another ammo size I'd need.
