I've got two pieces of property with Walton EMC as my electrical supply.

The bill for the property I live on was $144.57 for 1518 KWH before taxes.
The other property with two campers sometimes one more used 782 KWH for $102.37 before taxes. We should be moving trees and dirt for the house in 4 to 6 weeks, if all goes well.

So the question is why is the "farm" property more costly perKWH? Over 20% more.

I do plan on calling their office in the AM. Just hope the house rate doesn't go up to match the farm.??

That is a standard procedure for non occupied property. Our range in Meriwether Co has the same issue. My brother lives next door and they still consider it unoccupied, Go figure.

Look at the base charges . My shop has about $15 a month even if I use zero electricity
