Scope base is to long and contacting the bell of the scope. I need to move the scope back a touch more to get my eye relief.

If I was doing it, I would cut then probably use a sharpening stone or a file to finish the edges and make them look "factory" followed by some oxphoblue. I have a quart of the blue in Alpharetta if you are up this way.

Easy enough job.  I'd use a metal-cutting bandsaw, but only because I have access to same.   I have access to a mill as well, but I'd still use the bandsaw.   Too much set up on a mill for such a quick and simple job.

If I didn't have access to the above, I'd use a hacksaw, nice n' slow, then clean it up with files and stones.  Then, hit it with Oxpho Blue if I were in a hurry.  If I were not in a hurry, I'd have Dobbs Defense Cerakote it for me.

If you're not in the mood to do it yourself, Dobbs Defense could knock it out for you.

Alternately, if my place in Dallas is convenient to you, I can knock it out for you while you wait, for free.
