Had one on my G19 for a short spell now.

I love the size/weight, and to me they outweigh my only con (so far).

I also like how the switch operates and the sturdiness of the XC1's attachment to the rail.

The only con I can see so far isn't really a con, it's just a difference between this and other lights.  The "beam" is broad and bright, but doesn't have the distance that the more focused beam of other weaponlights have.  To me, this isn't an issue with a light designed to go on a handgun, as it works just fine at handgun distances.  Would work well on an SBS as well, depending on what you expect out of your SBS system, but I wouldn't like it on a carbine.

I'm waiting on my new BPT holster to arrive.....hopefully soon.

The XC1 will work in many types of carry that weren't exactly made for a light. For instance, when going to the gym I use a Galco fanny pack that has a built-in neoprene holster for a mid-size semi-auto.  With my G19, I was able to trim a little neoprene and it fits great.  This was impossible with the X300, TLR, M3, etc., so I previously had to detach the light when using this carry method. Not anymore.

The smaller size of the XC1 lends itself to IWB carry better than any of the other quality weaponlights out there.

Thanks Shep, we need more of this kind of reports in 2016

I seem to be stuck in a streamlight rut. M-5,M-6, and a TLR-1-HL.  I need to try a surefire.

I own one or more lights from all the big name companies.  I've  got a thing for lights.......

I'll admit that overall, Surefires are my favorites.  As I'm writing this I've got one in my pocket and 2 more in the bag at my feet.

I only had a chance to see one for a few min at a shop. I really like dit except for one thing. The switch configuration does not lend itself to mounting on a rifle. I wanted to mount one on my SBR but i think the direction you need to push the switch would not work well on a carbine. Maybe i was doing it wrong. What do you think? Wuold it work on a rifle?

Switch only works in one direction, which is down when mounted on a handgun.  The Surefire claim is that they did this to help prevent accidental activation.

It would be a bit counter-intuitive if mounted upside on a carbine. I really like how the switch operates on a handgun; but I wouldn't mount it at 12 o'clock on a carbine.  It MIGHT work at 3 or 9 o'clock.

yep that is what i remember. But i did really like it. I would like to see a different model with a different switch. It would be a nice small light on a small SBR.

That it would.

I've always had good luck in my dealing with Botach, but I know a lot of folks rant and rave about poor business dealings with them. Caveat emptor.

My wife bought mine for me for Christmas from Optics Planet and used an online coupon she found.  They mailed me another coupon with the light.  If anyone wants it, let me know and it's yours.

I am rounding out odds and ends on most of my builds. Mostly they are all finished except for lights. That is where i am really lacking. I like simplicity and light weight. I would love to run the same light on all my pistols and rifles. But i would settle for one type of light for pistols and then one other type for long guns. The XC1 looks almost perfect for me for the pistols.

Input from people like you that have a LOT more experience using these lights is very helpful to me. Thanks.
