Can anyone recommend a good safe mover in Augusta/CSRA.  Have one in garage and want it moved inside, have 2 steps to go up to get it to the front door.  1300lbs

Dixie lock and safe should be able to handle it.

Talked with them today, and they can't move it,  to big for them to move

Alot of us have used these guys, perhaps they'll over there for another job or could refer you to somebody.

Also steel water has their intercontinental HQ nearby. you'd think they would be able to help.

No nothing really about them but talking to them about buying a safe. They may be able to help or point to someone.

CSRAsafes wants 450.00 to move it from garage into house, that would be last resort at that price

That's about the going rate. Might only take them 20 min but it's still 2-4 hours out of their day.

have you thought about asking some local guys to help, someone with a full size pick up, large sheets of card board and a bag of golf balls. BGcoop, his brother and i picked up my safe, and move it into my man cave

Those are designed for moving machinery or smaller (even if heavier) safes. They like stuff with their weight concentrated. Your problem is how bulky your safe is. Generally they use these types of things to roll it around. Your safe is likely too wide to fit through doors etc if you had it on the hand truck broad side.

Depending how the stairs are configured, you might have better luck with a pallet jack and a ramp. use the pallet jack to get the safe up to the porch height then slide it over the ramp
