Does anyone have a reference for a good contractor in the metro area?
I'm looking to add a fairly complicated garage and apartment overhead. It's also going to have a basement. Looking to see if anyone has a first hand contact vs trying my luck on those random bidding sites Thanks |

Looking to see if anyone has a first hand contact vs trying my luck on those random bidding sites Thanks Sounds like you are building a house ;) I suspect that there are no good contractors going to those bidding sites. Currently good contractors and their subs are all busy. If you find somebody who can start next week I'd consider it a red flag. Handy Dave could do something like that but I suspect he is busy and there would be a wait. |

Everyone that is good is booked solid for the forseeable future. There is a labor shortage. Those bidding sites will get you junk contractors. Good contractors don't need them to stay busy. Think about it. Go ask your neighbors who they use and get referrals. Get ready to wait. |

Thx guys for the referral but I no longer do any residential work. Commercial only .
The previous posts are correct. Every contractor I know is booked solid for at least a few months & I don't know anyone that uses the bid sites. OP, if you will send me an IM with your contact info and location ( if it's within an hour of 285) I can give you a qualified referral but don't be in a hurry. I am happy to assist with any questions as well since I do have 20 years of experience doing exactly what you are proposing to do. |
