Looking for a video editing program that is easy to work. Going to video hunts and some shooting. I'll b using Garmin and spypoint cameras. Something for beginners.

Are you on a Mac or PC? What are you looking to spend?

I can do most of what I want with iMovie on my mac (free) but I don't do a whole lot of video either. I know some like the Adobe Premiere Pro through creative cloud thats $19/month. If you are in to photography also, Adobe Creative Cloud is the way to go.

Check out the GoPro software on their website.  It's free and useful, although not that feature packed.

Windows movie maker.  It's free.  You may already have it installed.

I use Nero Platinum 2015. I like it, though I'm no expert at all. Amazon has it fairly cheap now, probably because 2016 is around the corner.

My wife uses Windows Movie Maker for all kinds of crap - presentations, compilations of our kid's sports that she puts on YouTube, etc.  She makes some pretty good stuff embedding both still pictures and videos with audio, transitions, etc.

I've been using Pinnacle Studio for years.  Lots of professional features and easy to use as well.  http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/studio/
