Anyone have one I can rent or borrow for a day in the Norcross/Peachtree Corners area? Was going to get one from Home Depot but figured I would check here first. |
| I thought about buying a tow-behind for my riding mower, but now I'm thinking about having it professionally done in the spring with some top dressing too. If you end up trying one out that is a riding mower tow-behind type, could you let me know how it works out for ya? |

If you're in Norcross area, then I would recommended you to stop by at Skyline rentals
http://www.skylinerentals.net/lg/ It's $40 per day and they're much cheaper than Home Depot. I rented a few things from there and staffs were always friendly. |

People keeping trying to sell me on doing this. Every year my grass is green and seems to grow faster than I care to mow it. Does this really help or something that you do because it's the right thing to do. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I rented one from Depot... once... Now I gladly pay the $100 or so the lawn company charges. What a pain in the ass that was. As a kid, I made a fortune every fall running one. By the time I got done with one yard, someone would stop and ask I'd I had time to do theirs. I'd make 2-3k in just a few days. Unfortunately, running one of those machines is a young mans sport. I rented the behemoth from hell from HD several times before I broke down and bought a used pull-behind core aerator from sunbelt rentals for a couple hundred $. Best thing I ever did. Now I just fill it with water, hook it to the atv and ride around the yard for an hour or so. Before I did that I had a quote for $400 to aerate my yard (big yard). I tell my wife I can buy gun stuff with all the money I saved...

How well does yours work for you? Does it leave the plugs of dirt behind on the ground or does it just poke simple holes in the dirt? I assume it's this style? http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/productImages/300/2e/2e592cb2-41d2-43e6-bb34-7cfd53f0d05d_300.jpg I've been considering picking one of these up for myself. Quoted:

They're junk...want mine? How junky? How much? I'd consider it just to try it out to see how it works for me if the price is right. If not I'm thinking about hiring a service but I like doing a lot of the yard maintenance myself. The only thing I farm out is the TruGreen Serivce. |

They're junk...want mine? Really? I've had decent luck in the last when I've used one. If you don't want it I'll take it. I always borrowed my neighbors and they used my mower, but we've moved now. |
