I've never sold a lower over the internet and have some questions about it. I know if it's someone in my state I don't have to ship to an FFL.

When shipping out of state you ship to their preferred FFL, but do you have to have an FFL ship it for you to their FFL?

Only if their FFL won't accept from an individual.

I don't even fool with out of state transfers unle$$ it worth my time. You can ship to his ffl if that ffl will take it. If not as stated above you have to ship from your ffl to his ffl.

I would make two copies of his FFL. send one with the gun and keep the other. call the receiving FFL, they may want you to send a copy of your ID also.

Yep.  We won't accept items from a non-licensee to be transferred to another non-licensee unless the sender includes a copy of their valid ID.

To the OP, if you are shipping something to an FFL, just contact them and ask what information you should include in the package.  Make sure you include the name of the individual who we ultimately receive the item and that person's contact info.  Sucks when you get a package from someone you don't know without also knowing who it is for.

Take care,

Mark

Glad to help. And if you need to ship to a dealer who will only receive from an FFL, we'll ship it for no charge but actual shipping.
