We're a few months out, but I want to go ahead and get the word out. The return of the fall HTF shoot I did at my place last year is imminent. We will be having a venue change from Half Fawn Ranch to Emu's place (in Madison) since he has been so gracious as to offer it for this and for Cola Warrior Southeast. Discuss. October worked last time, so sounds good. |

September or October would probably work best for me. The weather was about right last year, maybe a week or two sooner wouldn't hurt. And that last option should read car fire, just because. ![]() Lol, car fire. This time we should have a bus fire instead. Don't want anyone to think we're not trying hard enough. October seems to be the clear favorite so far. Looks like Jason is cooking again, which is awesome. The only holdup I have is waiting on a clear date for Cola Warrior East 3, but I think it's supposed to be in September this year. For any of you guys that haven't been to Emu's, his place is way bigger and better than mine. More everything. Its gonna be great. |

regardless of date i'll be there, oh, I vote op falling into the fire I would prefer October, I'm good any time, Emu, you need to come out and shoot, bro ![]() I'll be doing my very best figure out a way to be at the one in my backyard.....
Beyond that, you need to con my boss into giving me more days off!!!!

Anybody have the dates for the Annual Fall MG Shoot? Might hurt getting some demos if the HTF Fall Shoot is that weekend or plus/minus one weekend from theirs. Iirc.... The Red Hill MG shoot is usually the Saturday before Thanksgiving. I voted October, but the truth is, I would be there no matter what weekend it is, as long as my schedule is free. |

For me, anytime but the first weekend in October, already committed to another shoot that weekend. We did the first weekend in October last year. It will probably be the first or second depending on when deer season starts. Having it on opening weekind is a deal breaker for a lot of our locals. |

I'll be there as well, schedule permitting. Quoted:

I voted November, but there's not a "good" time in the last three months. Petit Le Mans is the only weekend I'm sure I can't make. I'll be there as well, schedule permitting.
We've had VIP passes the past few years from Hennessy, but this year we're taking the kids for their first race. |

Would love to do Daytona one year when the kids are bigger and easier to leave with someone. We drove to Austin for the inaugural F1 race. |

Haven't been that far for a race event yet. We've got plans to go to Indy and LeMans before the decade is out. |

It was very cool and great to see and hear the cars up close before the shit engines they have now. Love turns 1, 7 @ Road Atlanta for the same reason. Would love to go to LeMans one year, but probably not until the kids are gone to college. Sorry for the thread jack.

Does anybody have any suggestions for the shoot? Are you asking dates? Or things besides the obvious shooting? I know some of the ideas floating earlier were things like a big screen with projector for running blu-ray movies at night, keg of beer for after hours, things like that? |
|
Is there a list of everything going on late September early October that the Shoot would have to rule out said weekend as not wanting to compete against such as:
Major Gun Show Auto Racing Machine Gun Shoot 3 Gun Competition Schedule Rifle Match Sporting Event Etc ....... Knowing which weekend not to even bother looking at could really help narrow it down to two maybe three to vote on. |

Totally open to all suggestions. Only issue with running a projector will be getting a generator out there, but maybe someone who is coming will volunteer one for the job. Steve's place is a little more austere than mine as far as infrastructure at this point. Definitely want to get a keg though. You guys know what you have coming up in October/September. Start letting me know dates and we'll narrow it down. |

More Fuel for the fire. We were missing the signature HTF BOOM! at Redgoat's place. Lime for the Porta-john or maybe less MRE. ![]()
We'll figure out a port-a-shitter situation. I'll have to ask Emu about Tannerite since its his place. I know everyone loves shooting it, but no one's neighbors enjoy hearing it. |

Knowing which weekend not to even bother looking at could really help narrow it down to two maybe three to vote on. Honestly, I know there is no way to please everyone on a date. Some folks are gonna find something else they'd rather do that weekend, and that's fine with me. I just tend to put HTF events at the top of my list when they pop up. I'd be at the one this month if it wasn't falling on the same weekend as Cola Warrior, which I've been committed to since February. One of these days I'll make it to Mike's place for a shoot. Start putting dates out there though, I'll do what I can. |

Very easy on the gas and zero noise to talk over/watch movie over. Also I have a 15 gallon keg and good tap on hand, so no deposit just swap at the local spot of choice and enjoy. |
