What does that really even mean on a practical standpoint?

It means: surrender your firearms, and report promptly to your nearest DHS/FEMA relocation center, citizen.

Or at least that's what I'll assume it means.

Compliance, on my part, is unlikely....

Yeah but what does it mean to us?

Does the Gov saying stay home mean you can't be fired for not reporting to work?

What about being out on the roads Can they really stop you?

Just for discussion purposes... me personally I'll be at home and staying there till weather clears.

It really means nothing to the average person. They have to enact no travel rules etc.. All it means is that when deal says those words the national guard can be activated and the municipalities can recoup pretty much all weather related expenses back from FEMA. This includes any apparatus losses and overtime pay. I'm sure if your emoployer expects you at work and you don't show your not protected.

Didn't the state of emergency do away with our right to carry?

Just another reason I'm so glad to be living here rather than North Cuba.  In Florida, when the Governor declares a state of emergency, any and all firearm-related transactions become illegal.  No firearms sales, no ammunition sales, nada.  You can still CCW, but that's it.  Of course, in Florida there's no open carry in public except for sworn LEO.
