Considering how many rounds Federal and Remington are cranking out each day (they have both doubled output), the only reason they are hard to find is because idiots are willing to pay other people to buy it at retail for them then pay them 3 times what they could have bought it for. Those morons are the only problem. If the morons stopped buying from those people, they would be stuck with a bunch of 22LR they could not sell and things would get back to normal VERY quickly as there is no actual shortage of 22LR. If there was an actual shortage, Wal-Mart would not be selling Auto-Match for $18.97 a box nor the 550 Pack for $23.97 it would be twice that if a shortage actually existed. Especially not if my friend Waylon and I can split a Lot of 50 boxes of Federal 550 packs for $375 each which is 2.7 cents a round. There is plenty of 22LR and it would especially show if morons stop buying from Retail Scalpers! |

For your fix to work people would have to stop buying for about 5 to 6 months until the scalpers got the message. But during that time they would still be cleaning out the stores and hoarding. What a weird fucking world we live in right now. |

There are deals on the ODT if you look. I've bought and sold plenty of stuff over there, as well as here on the E&E.
Picked up a Trijicon Accupoint in the box with papers for about $120 under dealer cost. Bought a $150 Pelican case, unused in the box, for $80. Picked up some reloading supplies I needed for my .338-06AI........got that in a trade for reloading stuff I didn't need and we were both happy with the trade. Sold my kitted out Arsenal Inc SGL-41 over there.......ended up selling it to a GAHTF member. I stocked up on .22LR long before the craziness, so haven't paid attention to those prices over there. |
| It has gotten a little more polluted with BlackRainAR-types lately, but I still love the ODT and buy/see/trade on it all the time. It's easy to avoid the trash if you want to. Also, there are a lot of decent forums there too. Just as much fun as the GD section of ARFCOM. |

I buy/sell/trade there often. Tons of goobers, but good deals also to be had. I don't care for the new layout or seemingly limited preference changes. My ignore list there is LENGTHY... mostly consisting of guys with 10,000+ plus posts but only +5 or +10 feedback. |

When I was around Atlanta it was great, living down south it sucks. So I use the EE here more. |

Unless I'm missing something, the EE here is national while the ODT is mostly local. Most of what I sell or trade is not going to get a premium with the extra eyeballs that EE offers. I'd much rather set a price I can live with and meet someone FTF. Course, I don't move a lot of stuff either.
I'll get used to the new site after a while. I just wish there were more views. Seems many people are staying away during the turmoil. Used to take me 10 minutes to read my favorite forums and now it takes a minute or two. |
