Finally finished my AR-10 Leonidas build after collecting parts over the past 2 years.. Now I just have to get out and shoot it.
the sights are under the tree. Now I just need an optic. Suggestions?

That may not be what you're after though. yeah, I guess it has been that long now that I think about it. I got the AR10 lower just before I gave up my FFL. At first I was considering Eotech/Aimpoint, but then figured why since won't really do much for me at longer ranges, so I'm thinking something 1-4 or 1-6. I have a Leupold 1-3 CQT on my ex-patrol rifle that I could repurpose. Quoted:

Looks good and should be fun to shoot Thanks By no means is it the most practical 7.62. I built it for the fun factor, that is until I go broke(r) shooting it then it won't be so much fun anymore. |
Please get some pictures of you firing it in low light with the pig on it! Cool looking build btw. I have tossed around the idea of doing a sbr or pistol ar10 with the same barrel length. Do you plan on shooting full loads or subsonic? I think I remember reading somewhere that full loads out of that barrel length yields about an 80% burn? Oh the fire out of the end will be cool!

I've got full loads for now, once I get a suppressor, I'll get some subsonic. I'm headed down to my parents farm in Hawkinsville next week and plan to take it with me so I'll see if I can get a video. |

Are there any issues with increased pressure with such a short barrel when suppressed? Does Silencer Co put out a min barrel length like aac does/did with their 556 cans? That will absolutely be bad a$$ suppressed. I'd probably put a 1-6x on it. |

As of right now, I'm leaning on a 1-6x option to give me the most versatility. This gun was on my bucket list and I don't have a specific purpose for it yet. |
