Truck fuse?

Google your specific model and year truck with your problem.
There are some trucks wheres a short in the trailer lighting system can lead to expensive repairs.

Yes and no. It was blowing the haz light fuse. So that told me one of the tail lights was bad. So I swapped them both out. I don't see a fuse for the just lights. But I see them for all the diff functions.

Fuse

Start checking them one by one.

Fuses

There are 2 fuses in the box under the dash

And two in the box under the hood.

My dad's truck is always blowing a fuse because he keeps forgetting to unplug the trailer before backing in the water.

It's a 05 1500 chevy

That worked and it got me to a bad fuse!! The trailer running lights are the trailer park lights. It took a you tube video to show me which one it was. I had no owners manual or the fuse map on the fuse box cover isn't in the greatest conditions. So the culpert is a 15 amp fuse!!

If I'm not mistaken,  the running lights have a fuse under the hood. On gm s 7 pin stuff everything is fused seperate. At least on my HD it's that way. http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forum/general-discussion/technical-maintenance/378177-trailer-taillights-running-lights-will-not-work-my-04-yukon.html

Heres the layout if yours is missing http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/TR/tracker40/2013-03-16_142738_1.gif

That layout is diff!? I found the blown fuse between two of the big four prone fuses. Hmm. Prob need to take it by the Chevy place and see if they can locate a fuse map.

The four prong ones are relays, did the label peel off the inside of the lid? I thought all the layouts under the hood were the same. Pics?

Yeah the 99 models are slightly different because you could still get a 5.7 instead of the 5.3, the fuse fix it?

Lost me. Talking bout Liters? Mine is a 4.8

And yes it did. I found a buddy with an 2k model. Lucky it was the same setup in fuse boxe. So I took a pic and stuck it in the lid!!

Good! The 99 models they consider 2k ones were different since you could get the 5.7 still in 99.
