Anyone here familiar with them? I saw an ODT post about them, and one in GD I think. I just want to know what people in GA have to say because I figure that there's more likely a chance someone has done business with them. I'm merely curious about their lowers. At the show, they had blemished lowers for $50, and finished for $99. They were billet, and looked rather nice. I think they use non-forged 6061 instead of 7075. I can't find that much stuff on them, but the man working the show was really nice and actually talked to  like a person instead of a sheeple with money.

I know next to nothing about AR's, so take this for what its worth.  They are made from 6061T6.  Some people also make them from composite and they hold up, but a 7075T6 billet or forging is way stronger.  However, since nobody has anything bad to say about them other than the nit picking bullshit that came up on the ODT, why not give em a shot.  It was explained over there that their sales rep. opened his mouth when he shouldn't have, oh well, big deal.  Anyhow,   Head Down Firearms is another GA company that is making rifles using 6061T6 billet and I've heard nothing bad about them either.  http://www.headdownproducts.com/index.cfm

Let us know what you do and what you think of their product if you buy it.

Half of it are people arguing over the 26" pistol and using a vfg, most don't even know what they are talking about.

It reminds me why I never visit any non sell/trade related forums there.

A good percentage of guys there got all their gun knowledge from Guns and Ammo and what ever the latest thing Massad Ayoob wrote.  There are a few brilliant guys over there though, and I know them personally.  Some of the guys here also post over there.  I like it better here.

Old ODT thread, got caught shilling their products, couldn't explain anything about the guns or manufacturing process, didn't really know a damn thing about what they were attempting to build.

That's the one where the owner doesn't know shit about his product. The guy doing the actual design, build apparently knows what he's doing. Any evidence the product is shit?

Pardon my verbiage. Why are the products "tarded"?  I have no dog in the fight. I'm just wondering what's wrong with the product.

I'm just curious if their receivers, being 6061, are any good. I don't want to hear a GD type argument about who's dick is bigger (I win), I just want to know about if the product is of quality. Stuff like "yeah, I got one. Its cut nicely and works just fine" or "what the actual fuck. Mine looks like it was cut with a dremel tool and thrown off a cliff".

That article is retarded . Spell check would be a great feature .

So I just picked up my new Sj-15 Duty model, Wow this thing is the bomb it has a billet reciver upper and lower which they make in house.( saw there opperation its no joke). the barrel is theres as well 14.5 fluted nitrid finish with there shield muzzle break.(which they machine in house as well). They use diamondhead as there rails and the one on mine is VRS-T 13.5. They pened the muzzle break on there for me as well. Has a magpul UBR butt stock, EOtech and a tungstan Cerakot finish. NIB BCG. These guys do a wounderful job great people to work with, and the best part is there Local right here in Norcross. I would def.. do business with them anytime. The price wasnt bad at all with everything considered.I will post pics when i get home

This blew up my spell check WTF

I think, by now, everyone is picking up what I was laying down. When what I posted is the "best" info that can be found, it's probably best to stay away.

I think I found more credible information on Blackthorne.
